WHAT TO EXPECT…….
9:30-10:00 am – Welcome and Registration – CKISS welcomes you to the beautiful wetlands at the Creston Valley Wildlife Centre.
10:00- 11:00 am – Yellow Flag Iris Research Tour and Drone Demonstration – Catherine Tarasoff from Thompson River Industry to give an overview on ground breaking research involving control methods for Yellow Flag Iris.
11:00-11:30 am – Bullfrog Surveillance Program Presentation – Marc-Andre Beaucher from the Creston Valley Wildlife Management Area and Terry Anderson from the Ministry of Forests,Lands and Natural Resource Operations will give an overview of the Bullfrog program that is taking place in Creston and the Pend D’Oreille Valley.
11:45-12:30 pm – Lunch and Networking – catering from Real Food Cafe, who pride themselves on using local Creston produce.
12:30-1:30 pm – CKISS Annual General Meeting

- Elect 2015 2015 board of directors

1:30-2:00 pm – Western Painted Turtle and Invasive Plant Management – Presenter Leigh Anne Isaac from VAST Resource Solutions will give an overview of the work she has been doing with the blue listed Western Painted Turtles that call the Creston wetlands home.
2:00-2:30 pm – Questions and wrap up

Since the Central Kootenays covers a large region we encourage carpooling. If you are interested in carpooling we ask you include this in your RSVP along with your location and if you can provide or are looking for a ride.
