There are three programs in the Central Kootenay region for residents of specific electoral areas:
NEW IN 2020: Kootenay Lake Local Conservation Fund (KLLCF) Knotweed Cost-sharing Program.
- This program is coordinated by CKISS and is currently gathering eligible property information in RDCK areas A,D and E.

Regional District of Kootenay Boundary Area A Noxious Weed Control
- This program is coordinated by CKISS and eligible residents of Area A receive a letter each spring. This program applies to all invasive plant species and is administered on a first come, first served basis.

City of Rossland Knotweed Cost-Sharing Program
- Eligible residents receive a letter from the City of Rossland. The municipality will subsidize 50% of knotweed herbicide treatment up to $400.00
