Get Paid to Remove Invasive Plants from your land!
If you live in RDCK Areas A, D, E, F, or H, you can earn cash rewards for removing invasive plants like spotted knapweed, common tansy, and Scotch broom from your property starting in early May.
It’s simple:
- Register your property with CKISS
- Download the Crowdsorsa app – available early May to end of October
- Follow easy plant ID and removal instructions
- Upload before-and-after videos of your work through the app
- Get paid!
You can do the work yourself or have a friend, neighbour, or family member get paid to do the removal.
Plus, the first 20 people to sign up will earn $20 in EcoBucks to spend on native plants/seeds at the KinSeed fall 2026 sale in Nelson.

What is Crowdsorsa?
Crowdsorsa is an innovative mobile game that pays players to complete real-world environmental challenges. Starting early spring 2026 and running until October 2026, players can earn money by finding and removing plants and submitting before-and-after videos through the app!
➡️STEP 1- Download the Crowdsorsa App from Google Play or the Apple App Store.
➡️STEP 2- Create an account & setup your “wallet” for payment
➡️STEP 3- Register your property with CKISS – it may take up to 7 business days for your private mission to be visible in the app – you will receive an email confirmation.
➡️STEP 4- Once posted, find your mission titled “Nature for Neighbourhoods (Your Name)” and start!
➡️STEP 5- Read the instructions, read how to treat your plant species and learn how to use the app to treat and dispose responsibly of the plants for cash!
*If you need help with Plant identification – you can use apps like iNaturalist, Seek, or Google Lens to confirm the plant ID before removal*
➡️STEP 6- Complete your mission! Once all video/image files are uploaded- your work will get verified and cash will be sent directly to your wallet. Email info@ckiss.ca for any questions!
*All photos/videos must be uploaded within 3 days of plant removal. After uploading – payment may take a few business days*
