Join CKISS and friends for Critter Day 2025 — a family-friendly event that brings you up close and personal with the incredible critters of the Pend d’Oreille Valley!
Explore the fascinating world of amphibians, reptiles, aquatic insects, and more through interactive displays and hands-on learning. Build your own bird box, engage with local biologists, and enjoy fun activities designed for all ages.
🌿 As part of Invasive Species Action Month, CKISS will be there to showcase some unwelcome guests, including American bullfrogs and invasive mussels. Learn how invasive species threaten our native wildlife and what you can do to stop their spread!

Critter Day is hosted by the Fish & Wildlife Compensation Program, Kootenay Conservation Program, and Trail Wildlife Association, with generous support from BC Parks, the Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship, Teck Trail Operations, FortisBC, the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC, and Silver City Days.
