Nakusp Canada Day: CKISS Outreach Booth Attends!

Join CKISS at the Nakusp Canada Day Celebration: July 1, 2025

Canada Day in Nakusp is always a vibrant celebration, and this year is no exception! On Tuesday, July 1st, 2025, the Village of Nakusp will be filled with excitement as the community comes together for a full day of festivities, fun, and family-friendly activities.

CKISS (the Central Kootenay Invasive Species Society) is thrilled to be part of this year’s event! We’ll be there with our outreach booth to share information about invasive species in our region and the steps we can all take to protect our beautiful Kootenay landscapes and waterways.

Visit our booth to:

  • Learn how invasive species impact our local ecosystems

  • Find out what CKISS is doing to stop their spread

  • Get practical tips on how you can help protect your favourite outdoor places

Whether you’re a long-time local or visiting for the weekend, we’d love for you to stop by, ask questions, and pick up free educational materials and resources.

Beyond our booth, Canada Day in Nakusp will feature music, food vendors, entertainment for all ages, and that great small-town community spirit. It’s a perfect opportunity to celebrate our country, our region, and the people who make it special.

We look forward to seeing you there: Happy Canada Day!
