CKISS at Toadfest 2025- August 6-7th, 2025

CKISS is attending Toadfest 2025
Join us at Summit Lake Provincial Park for Toadfest: a free, family-friendly event all about western toads and the species that share their habitat.

Wednesday, August 6 | 4–7 p.m.
Thursday, August 7 | 9 a.m.–noon

Stop by the CKISS outreach booth to learn how invasive species like zebra and quagga mussels (ZQM), whirling disease, and invasive bullfrogs threaten local waters like Summit Lake, and what you can do to help protect them.

We’ll share simple steps like Clean, Drain, Dry and Pull the Plug to help keep our lakes and wetlands healthy.

Please note: In 2023 and 2024, Toadfest was cancelled due to wildfires. Please check the FWCP website closer to the date to confirm it is still going ahead.

Toadfest is organized by FWCP, with support from BC Parks, the Province of B.C., the Okanagan Nation Alliance, and others.
