The CKIPC 2013 Invasive Species Week was a huge success.
From having over 200 volunteers controlling invasive species throughout the Nelson region to a delicious feature invasive species menu at Rel-ish Bistro, the week went by in a blur.
Highlights from the week include:
- 180 Grade 7 students from Traflagar controlled invasive common tansy along the Nelson Dog Walk Park
- 40+ volunteers controlling scotch broom in Kokanee Creek Park
- Rel-ish Bistro special ‘Forbidden Delights’ menu
A special thanks to all of those wonderful volunteers, Rel-ish Bistro, City of Nelson, Speedpro Nelson, PinkDogDesigns and the Columbia Basin Trust for making Invasive Species Week 2013 such a huge success.
