B.C. Trails Day is an annual celebration of trails, trail development and the healthy lifestyle they encourage. It is celebrated each year on the first Saturday in June.
June 4th is also the first day of ‘Play Clean Go’ awareness week. A time dedicated to highlighting the importance of stopping the spread of invasive species, it educates recreationists on quick and easy ways to responsibly enjoy the outdoors without spreading invasive species or pests.
The CKISS outreach booth will be set up at the base of Morning Mountain Regional Park on Saturday June 4 from 10 am – 2 pm. Before you hit the trails come ask us what simple actions you can take to protect our beloved trails from invasive species.
