Martell Beach Broom Bash: Volunteer Pulling Event
Get outside, meet like-minded people, and make a real, visible difference on the East Shore of Kootenay Lake.
Join CKISS and @wildsightyouthclimatecorps for a morning tackling invasive Scotch broom at Martell Beach.
With guidance from CKISS staff, you’ll use loppers to cut Scotch broom and help restore the area for native species.

What to Bring:
Water bottle & snacks
Sturdy shoes
Gloves (we can provide if needed)
Loppers or hand saw if you have them, tools will be provided
Dress for the weather, event runs rain or shine
