Join CKISS and the Valhalla Foundation for Ecology to learn more about swamp creatures and wetland restoration, and help with invasive plant removal, — all this in a little slice of paradise at the Snk’mip Marsh Sanctuary in Hills. The Communities pulling together event is scheduled for Sunday, July 7, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. These efforts will improve the health of this important wetland!

Location: Meet in Hills BC (just north of New Denver) at the pull out located at Bonanza Rd and Hwy 6. Park your vehicle and walk down – follow the signs to the sanctuary
What to Bring:
– Water bottle & snacks
– Sturdy shoes for walking on uneven ground
– Gloves – (we can provide if needed)
– Hand tools will be provided, but if you have a favourite shovel or hand trowel please bring them along.
– Dress for weather conditions
